I believe BL used to supply these with the windows pre-steamed up by the factory, to emphasise in publicity shots etc just how sparse and uninviting the interiors were, and chucked in a free manky old sponge thing with a bit of chamois leather on one side, for when you drove if off the forecourt for the first time.

I seem to recall laughing my c0ck off at this once before, well lets have another look at it.

HUMMER LOOKING FRONT

The lad seems to think people will pay to rent this thing for weddings, hen parties etc. WTF! Admittedly i'd probably pay a couple of quid to piss into the air intake while Carol Vorderman revved the engine to death, but thats about it.

I would love to go and view that . Can we get a few of us together in clown suits and go and act really serious about needing some new transport for our group?

LOL!!! There could be some good amusement available in such a venture. have about 5 clowns turn up on wobbly bicycles, maybe have one 'lead clown' who knows a bit about cars. Asking intelligent questions like 'So how do you make the doors come off again?' 'Has it got a Klaxon?' the other clowns can just get in and out of it over and over, getting 2 in the boot at once and that, running around, punching each other and larking about in the background. After a fashion agree a price and get a fat wad of 'clown money' out, when he refuses to accept it threaten to call 'the ringmaster', he'll give in i reckon.

1000€

I tried translating the add but it made not much sense to me! Rev.Bolleaux, what's the crack with it? and whereabouts is it please? :)

The ad's not totally clear, it says something like 'no longer starts due to general engine corrosion', engine is defo not seized and he reckons a service will have it up and running. Its probably shitty points or just lack of use or something. As for location, its only about half an hour from the bollox museum! if you put the postcode (70270) in google maps, you'll see where it is. Its about 1/3 of the way down through France, on the east side.

This one seems to need a bit of fettling but looks worth the bother. They seem to command decent coin on the bay nowadays, I reckon this will be £400 or so despite being a project.

These are fantastic cars , Had a blue one ( C97 DYR ) for four years , trouble free even with 200K on the clock , watch for rotten A post bottoms , Sunroof might be an issue as theres two different sizes IIRC ,, A Golf one fitted mine
