Why does the advert call it a Triumph Andre?

Andre is other and when Finn doesn't have the model in the system, the seller has to add it to other models.

Hope that makes sense.

I was surprised by the position of the spare wheel in the boot, those I had stored the spare flat under the boot floor.

I see that this was imported to Norway in 1997, most likely from the UK, so if anyone wants to do some research, the chassi number (car vin) is in the ad there is a picture of it.

It's a facelift. Yours would have been the original pre facelift version. There are quite a few differences between the two. Most notably on the outside the facelift gained rubber faces to its over riders whilst the pre facelifts had solid chrome ones. Also had different door trims, real leather seats and the instruments changed from white to black. The moving of the spare wheel was considered an improvement because you don't have to empty the boot to get at it.

That's interesting because mine was on an H reg which was when they brought out the mk2. It did have the rubber on the over riders and leather trim.

Okay, that is a faceflift and should have had the upright spare wheel. Of course the estate version kept the spare under the floor for obvious reasons so the earlier panels were still in production so maybe some slipped through on the saloons. That's pure speculation but all I can think of off the top of my head.
