we did very similar 30 years ago

swapped cheaply (which was nuts) both houses were cheaper than the merc

stayed 20 years

then bought two houses with the money

Fantastic cars to drive, I had that model back in the 1970s. There is a bloke near me with a barn full of tractions. I think he buys them faster than he sells them.

It seems that a lot of Tractions was sold here, I guess with snow chains they were almost unstoppable in bad conditions. The Germans confiscated all they found when they arrived in 1940 so they must have been sought after. There was one in a barn on the neighboring farm where I first lived and it was far up in the hills in southern Norway with a demanding road to get there which was probably the reason why it was bought. Interesting cars would love to try one.
