This beauty has been for sale on carandclassic.co.uk for quite a while now. I don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh!

 

Its a series 2 1984 model done 43000 kms. Currently in Biarritz.

 

Not cheap, he wants £8000 for it , but must be one of the best left anywhere!!

I f my memory serves me correct , only about 12000 were ever made..it was as resounding a flop as the Tagora.According to my December 1983 Glass' Guide a new one cost a whopping £12800!!Most people would have preferred a range topping Granada Ghia X 2.8 for the same money, a BMW 525 for £12535 or a Merc 280E auto for £14850 Lets talk depreciation!Granada Ghia X 2.8:Brand new in 1981 £11377. Trade value in 1983 with 33k miles £5100.Merc 280E:Brand new in 1981 £12775. Trade value in 1983 with 33k miles £8425.BMW 525:Brand new in 1981 £11355. Trade value in 1983 with 33k miles £7500 Alfa 6:Brand new in 1981 £11900. Trade value in 1983 with 33k miles........Anyone like to guess?? :shock:

I read on Wikipedia that some were fitted with a 5 cylinder VM diesel, hot!

That's not as catastrophic as I would have guessed, I thought it'd be worth a lot less than the Granada.

Square lights, Injected, blue, tidyTicket only just out. SORNd most of last year. Poor fella had his licence taken away due to Alzheimers.Bedfordshire

There are more people on here who want an Alfa 6 than Alfa could find when then were selling them new.

 

Boobydoo, if you add a Sei to your collection, I will be unspeakably envious.

 

Edit: having seen the cars you already own kadams, I'll be equally envious if you bag one.

Incredible car.

 

I think Alfas 'move' me more than any other real world Manufacturer. I was lucky to have owned a 164 V6 in the past, and it was the best car I've owned. The old Alfa V6 really is one of the all-time great engines. It probably sounded even better in the early 80s cars.
