Let's hope there's no bad awakening from this one. No return tickets have been booked...

First chapter of the journey completed successfully. Taxi app didn't work and Uber likes to refuse service at this time of the day so I'm actually surprised I'm here in time.

And we are off. Worrying shaking of the carriage at certain speeds makes it all only more interesting.

The car might replace my better half's Fiat 500, and will do about half it's MPG..

Then you might know why this place looks more trashy than usual!

You didn't get the bus then! That much is clear.

I'm going to guess that it's something large with at least a displacement of two litres and with a badge on the front that originated in Japan or Germany.

This is indeed a very accurate description! Ive only seen the car in a few photos and crappy video so I hope the seller doesn't screw me over and I can take it right back home! Unusual for a purchase of mine the car actually is MOTd.

This is supposed to be a clue for what direction I'm traveling. As you can tell this clearly is York train station...

Indeed it isnt although a T6 S80 would be an excellent choice if the gearboxes weren't so flaky.

3 out of 6 sandwiches consumed. I feel strengthened for rest of the trip ahead.

More progress. The vibration shaking the carriage has disappeared, we might make it.

Last Stretch of public transport. This is actually the first time in the London Underground for me. Also plenty of passengers not paying for tickets!

You have prepared your own sandwiches.

No matter what the car is you have already won.

Walking along Finchley Road now. The density of expensive cars has skyrocketed.

And will he have to pay Sidiq Khan's ransom demand of £12.50 to escape to the free North?

Bingo! Of course a petrol station shot shouldn't be missing, let's see if this old beast can make it home. Check out the MOT history!

Indeed, this car only has 59k miles although it'll be close to 60k by the time I'm home. Tires need balancing or replacing (from 2009 although I tread is like new). Imbalance at highway speed is the only thing to complain about so far!

And I made it back home. All in all this was a very pleasant experience, also thanks to the seller who was very accommodating. As mentioned a there are a few things that needed doing, I will need to have another look around the car soon. I'm now starting to worry that this is way too nice for being exposed to road salt so we'll see what happens next!😂
