Got chatting to the owner of this lovely old Pontiac yesterday as he filled it up with E10 and explained that the Redex fuel additive makes it fine, I don’t think so…..

A long car. Catalina?

By the time it gets from the tank to the carb it will have gone sour.

Long car is indeed long. Valve seats need something and it'll run on E10 and can take a little more timing advance with it.

amazing that the Ford Model T could run on pure ethanol from the factory!!

I would be concerned only about the fuel's ethanol content damaging any rubber / plastic parts in the fuel system. Particularly petrol pipes that can lead to fires.
