Loving that blue granada. Do you know what engine is in it? Looks like a modern v8, coyote?

Also, for different reasons, the shit light covers on that white sierra took me right back to 1994.

Some nice motors there, especially the Escort Mk5 estate. Like the white 2.8 Capri as well.

Don’t really understand why someone has decided to show a Mondeo Mk4 or a 55 plate Focus, it’s an old banger, nobody gives two shits about seeing one in the street let alone in a field with some pamphlets in the window explaining its history. My old neighbour used to do this, he had a 9 year old Astra coupe so he’d go to the Vauxhall shows and try and get it parked up with the Firenzas and the Mk1 Cavaliers for people to look at.

Curiously I filled up with fuel yesterday next to a Corsair with a five litre V-8.

Interesting points there. Some may have said the same thing about a number of the cars on display at some point.

I guess right now these are probably in the 'banger' stage; future car fans will probably feel sentimental about these cars; childhood memories; first car etc.

I reckon it is cool to see a lovingly kept older car with information in the windows anyway.

Once they're gone; they're gone...

Funnily enough I have a Mk4 Mondeo, a good car but as interesting as flour. I’ve no doubt in 10 years when they’ve all been scrapped I might change my thoughts but in the meantime I just think it waters down the effect of a car show when there’s very average examples of a 10 year old car.

Nice assortment!

What's going on with the 2.0-litre Sierra with Ghia / XR4i front bumper and wheels but L/GL grille panel?

It's most unsettling.

Cheers Stu, saved me a walk around in the heat that! Felt like I was there.

Obvious question.

No Mk1/2 Mondeos?

Yes cheers for all the pics. I WAS there, but it was so hot and so little shade that even getting a camera out felt like a massive effort. Just wanted to find one of the very few shady spots and sit there drinking water. I must be getting old. Not really moaning, it could just as easily have been rained off.  All in all a good show as always.
