If any shiter is considering going to this premier* event, please be aware you need to book (free) tickets due to Rona regs. Linky

Bollocks, I'm still at college for a week! Frustrating AF considering I wanted to go to something local.

Don't be too disappoint, exhibits were down to roughly 1-third of normal, I guess due to a combination of Rona and the poor weather forecast. I took some pics which I'll put on lazy spotters shortly, unless you think they'd be better here.

It looks like entry tickets not needed for this year, just walk in free 10-5 on each day. Anyone else going?

I normally try and head over, might be nice to take my partner and son in either the BX or Lada. Is parking up by the Italian gardens still free this time of year?

Yes, basically anywhere West of Bolsover Road (think of the big block of flats, South Cliff Tower by the Hydro Hotel) on the seafront and roads leading off in unrestricted parking all year. Charges apply between April and October on the bit from the MM site to the free area. If anyone is interested, there's a map of charging areas here: https://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/media/aoof4hcq/eastbourne-on-street-pay-and-display-bays-april-2021.pdf

Went both days this year, for the first time. Quite a few different cars on each day.

First show of the year at our local harbour. They're usually very yank tank heavy but this one had representation from our local historic vehicles club. A few pics for those who may be interested:

I’m pretty sure the A40 belongs to a chap just down the road from me. I see the TVR in Seaford quite frequently too.

I’m a bit gutted I missed this, I was meaning to go but forgot to put it in the calendar.

Forgot to add, on my way back from the show I spotted a rare car driving towards me - an Austin Metropolitan!

Yup, one of the first in fact since I have a photo of that one from 2012.  Nice to see it still out and about.

Love that. Survivor stories are the best, by a country mile. I wonder what the other DHC looks like?

It's come a fair way...

Looks like Sheldon has done a thorough report on it too. Fascinating.

Magnificent Motors returns to eastboourne on May 4th & 5th, for those in the area. I know  @Fumbler and @Crackers were disappointed to miss out in previous years.

Belatedly sorted some pics from this event for your delight and delectation. Bus shite out on the road:

It's very likely that I travelled on that when in regular service. Inside the ground, not "Just One Cornetto..."

but TWO Morris Ice Cream vans:

A staggering number of these:

Is XUH 535T on the Wedgister, @vulgalour? The white Mk1 Escrote lives near me, sometimes see it in his garage.

It is, one of the earliest I got on the list in fact, it gets about a fair bit with shows.
