servied the ign and put a k&n filter on.noticed the throttle cable way to big doesent fit right so ordered new one,when you turn it off when its warmed up.takes bit to start again almost like feul starvation so ordered new petrol pump and coil,

right put right throtle cable in put new fuel pump and sports coil in rerouted heater pipe,made fuel pipe bigger put a inline filter in rerouted it,seems lot happier won set off centre caps and a spare wheel.going to book it in next week for a mot and start useing old beast.

it failed on 2 bits off welding and a bulb got find someone can do it for me dope

looking great though, you did well with the early metal hub cabs. I bagged a few a while back for my Capri, new old stock still in their ‘Ford’ bags. They weren’t cheap but I needed some as the little metal sprung tangs in the inside had rusted away. Nicer looking than the later plastic caps.

That rear of of sill is time consuming to do……I think it has a brace inside for the jacking point and usually takes a little bit of the inner sill with it.

They look like mk4 door strips on it?

been bit mad had a slot get old girl weiled miss it,my daughter caught covid and i had to isolate for 10 days,so missed deadline get it remoted.so have book in next week and my skoda brakes are gone,went in scotland car still there long story getting dropped off monday might have think off another daily drive,use cortina till find another car,on plus side cortina a little gem,rest off it like day for made it floors boot and innerwings ect,lad done real job spliced the sill and made little panel for innerwing and cut the rot out well pleased oiled inside the doors try save them lol
