As you probably seen I've bought the Vel satis. Do any of the previous owners have details of work done on it during there ownership. Would be nice to find out if it's history a bit more. Ta

Full LUK clutch kit and DMF not long ago, along with oil service etc. At the date of the last MOT to be exact 🙂

I replaced the clutch pedal rubber (and broke down in it and lost a load of money).

The occasional misfire that was present when I got it was sorted with a tweak to a coily thing. I put on the winter tyres so that the fair wife could use it safely for her commute, the previous set appeared to be made from hard, shiny plastic. I bought a pair of curiously expensive monster windscreen wipers, replaced a siezed caliper on the front, pads both sides and three calipers/pads on the back axle! Also new rear discs and a new/refurbished/rebuilt handbrake box thing - twice from a specialist I visited in Wales!

Also a couple of basic services, spark plugs, a new heater blower motor, a fucking hazard warning light switch, a windscreen...

I changed handbrake cables and the electrical connector to handbrake - including drop the tank down to get at it.

Because the car only cost me a fiver, I was quite happy to spend a few bob on it. It only actually FTP twice; the first time was heading North up the M1, severe vibration caused the wife to pull into services & call recovery - siezed front brake. Second was when the handbrake was applied & wouldn't release in a box junction at local traffic lights. The fair wife was less than amused by having to be pushed while she applied lots of revs/clutch action. I'm pretty sure that I left my pile of receipts in the car when I handed it over to @BorniteIdentity

All service history stayed in the car fo' sho' - I absolutely love paperwork and stuff.

Where the DONGle went with the spreadsheet on is another matter.  It's probably in the car somewhere.

The excitement of the new car is swiftly forgotten on the first FTP, i’m sure it will be fine.  

LUK’s share price has just dived now they have learnt the receipt for the clutch is in the car.

If the cruise control won't engage, try lifting the clutch pedal with your foot - must be a switch that needs adjustment.

If you need to clean the sticky soft touch off, Elbow Grease degreaser (from B&M and others) seems to be the recommended product on the Clio Sport forums/groups. It worked well on my Clio 172 when I used it, without melting the underlying plastic.

I bought some IPA, rubbing alcohol that seems to shift it slowly.
