That looks utterly lovely, you don't see many in black (I may be living under a rock, tbf) but it really suits them.

This thread has convinced me that I need to get myself a mini....

I even bought this today.

Don't bother though as it's crap, especially for the £6.50 it cost me.

With the BMW pissing me off today, I feel like I need to go back to the safety net that is BMC/BL engineering.

I didn't buy a Mini magazine, but dug these out of the bookshelf and flicked wistfully through them...

yes - got them all!

for me i  found that it was the Haynes Mini book that was the gateway drug.

after buying that, the orange Mini followed, and then the Metro, cos, well its almost a Mini, and then the black Mini followed that.

So, buying the book leads to old cars, cars lead to poverty, poverty leads to suffering...........

'Tis no shame being poor.

On the other hand, 'tis nothing to brag about either....

This has been doing sterling service as a ‘car’ Mrs T has been using it for work, every time it’s nice.

Bought some seat rail extenders which make it more comfortable when I drive it.

Note: not me in the picture,

This got fired up after a month or two of hibernation. Been banging some of this in the fuel while it’s been stored. I find new fuel doesn’t last too long when stored. I know the best thing to do is use it but trying to keep it out the salt if possible.

Looking great :)

Mine don't go out on the salty roads, either... and they're nowhere near as nice as your beauty.  Roll on summer!
