The lady in red was the driver. She would have bought a Mercedes-Benz or a BMW, but her son works at the Kia-dealer so...

It´s the pre-facelift-one, has a different (even stranger) grille, smaller alloys and different rear lights.

Be like me, only with a family:

Long gone, has been cubed a week after I took this picture. Whole floor and rear strut-tops gone. But at least it lasted a lot longer than the average Leone.

Another update from me:

An old ex-fire-department G made in Graz, lives in Graz:

My neighbors summer-car:

At a dealer, costs way too much money like everything in Euroland...

Bizarely, I sawa red one parked up at a car boot sale of all places back in the summer!

It´s only driven between april and october by an enthusiast a few streets ahead. Very cherished an in phantastic condition.

I think they are awesome looking motors, one of the few post-80s cars i actually like. superb styling, but i bet they fall apart quicker than almost anything on the roads....wonder what they're worth nowdays?top spots Lukas...

I think a top condition example of one of those Quattroportes would be around £15k, and start around £7k. I'm gonna have a look at what's on offer at the moment..

Took this picture today:

There are almost no cars older than 15 years on the road now because the salty slush on the streets is so aggressive you could almost hear the salt eating the poor Volvo.

I vow that within 18 months I will have one of those Quattroportes.

GO CT!!!!1!

Go for it! The cheapest I saw while browsing was £6k for an import, and around £7.5K would get you one of a few examples.

I'm narrowing my search for an Evoluzione model (Ferrari era) with beige leather and ideally fresh out of a pampered collection. Repos and city-boy bonus jobs will not do. I've been browsing the various forums for info and leads. No hurry for this one - buy the wrong one and I'll be bankrupt and probably cursing my impulse reactions while walking up the A11 in the rain. The 2.0 poverty spec job would be better suited to this forum, but there are no RHD.

The good: restored; the bad: matt-black.

The owner of this Ascona is at least 85 years old and an Opel-freak, he owns the Vectra too. His cars get excessivly rustproofed, so they are both still alive in quite good state.

Wow the Suzuki LJ is quite a spot! I've never seen one on the roads.

It´s the newly restored winter-fun-car of a car-dealer, that´s why the plate is blue. Blue are dealer-plates, white the normal ones from 1990 on.

There's a specialist near me called Autoshield Maserati that always has a few in stock. His varied between £9k and 13k. I asked a few of the mechanics about them and was told that the later cars aren't bad, but can't take neglect like BMWs and Mercs of the same vintage. The ones that are left are normally in good fettle. I'd have one if I had the cash.

Most interesting cars are locked in garages during winter, but some are out the in the salt-desert and were spotted by me.

Renault Avantime

Toyota FJ-Cruiser (US-import)

Posted Image

Honda Civic RealTime-4WD

While those FJ things look very tacky/American, I quite like the look of them. They're very rare here (not seen one anyway), but I prefer them to the faux Hummers we had.

Posted

The FJ is very rare here too, not officially available at the Toyota-dealer, only at special US-importers. Very high taxes for the big petrol-engine, bad fuel-consumption and quite a high price, so not many people buy those. If it were available with the D4D-engine from the LandCruiser J12, it would sell a lot better I guess.

The cars driven in winter are all quite young and boring, so spotting is a bit hard, but I found some interesting cars.

I love that Vulva too, I can't remember seeing one as early as that before, these pre-facelift ones must be pretty much extinct over here now.Am I right in thinking that the bumper is from something else?

Posted

I don´t think so. It was an absolute original example, one owner from new, very low mileage. Sadly the transmission was broken, I fear it will get crushed soon.

I spotted some nice cars this week:

1981 Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR, super-rare and mega-clean.

Posted Image

Posted Image

1990 Mitsubishi Pajero V6 3000 Metal Top

Posted Image

Posted Image

Mercedes-Benz 280CE W123

Posted Image

My neighbors daily driver during the summer-month, a Puch 700C from his granddad:

Posted Image

If you didn´t know, Puch fabricated the Fiat 500 under license in my hometown Graz. Also Schwarzeneggers hometown.:lol: They put stronger engines in it too, this one has almost 30hp.

Posted Image

They only produced only 786 of them!

Toyota Corolla E8 Sedan and a Galant V6-24 with horrible hubcaps (wintertyres)
