2009 - A year in shite. What have you had this year?

I started the year with a 1987 Audi Coupe GT and a 1999 Seat Leon 1.4 (S). The Seat was the first to go after Mrs B drove it into a roundabout on the new Leighton Buzzard bypass at 70mph. We were the third car in half an hour to have hit it, the first having knocked out all the power to the lights and all the deviation markers. Anyway we were both alright and avoided skittling the fire crew dealing with the brand new Fabia parked on top of the roundabout, so not bad. We ripped the sump and some of the block castings off the Leon so it was quite a hit. Still, the insurance paid out £1900 for it, which considering it was on 130k and burnin oil we were happy with.I bought a 96 Rover 400 as a stop gap for 200 quid which was ok. I put new seats in it (old disabled previous owner, say no more) changed the inlet gasket so the coolant stayed where it should, and then just drove it with no issues. It was sold for 350 when I bought a 55 plate Kia Sportage with LPG.In the meantime I bought a crappy 1990 Firebird for 400 dollars to take part in the BABE rally. It was painted matt black, a red light fitted to the front and christened SHITE RIDER. Sold to another team at the 24 hours of Lemons race in Louisiana.I recently got rid of the Audi as it had started giving me grief and I'd grown a bit bored of it. Tell you what though, it's still the most reliable car I've ever owned.I've now got the ex-Hyundai scrappage press fleet Rover 200 as a daily hack, complete with stoved in drivers door, and a 93 Rover 420 GSi Executive that I've owned for 2 months and never seen, to take banger rallying next year. I think that will probably be it this year!

Fiat Marea Weekend- SHITE

Why is the Fiat shite? I'm interested to know why (not coz I like them, which I don't, just because I remember Fiat Mareas must have the world record being the highest depreciating car of all time. I remember how cheap they were compared to other cars of their class secondhand.

This is the first year since buying my first car that I've only owned one car and not bought a second or third one for the whole year. I've had my Golf since June 08, I will be selling it early next year, just starting to get bored of it now.2/10 MUST TRY HARDER.

David Bailey is eating his heart out as I type this  It's because I had loads of each one and then when they went I just kep one or two of each (picture) and binned the rest.Cannot begin to tell you how happy I was to see the back of the Focus and the 206 by the way, wished I'd binned them instead of the pictures!

I´ve bought me a beige Camry Auto in January, had it partly restored in March and this is all. :?

Drove to the Toyota-classic-car-meeting near Passau/Germany with it in July. I´ll never get tired of telling that I surprisingly won a price there, second place at the cleverness-game...
