Just saved this from the crusher:

 

 

1989 740 auto. 77k on the clock, last owner had it since 1991. Faults: flat battery (£10 bought a good replacement from the scrappy yesterday morning), nadgered rear shocks, KRAKD rear lights, one missing wheeltrim, n/s mirror needs replacing, tailgate struts buggered. Otherwise lovely!

 

If anybody on here is breaking one of these, I could do with a few bits and pieces

Nice save. I shall keep an eye open in the hedgerows for homeless Volvo trims amongst the stunt badgers*

 

*Stunt badger – black and white carnivore and member of weasel family, which mysteriously flies out of the back of Farmer Giles’ Series Landrover before sunrise. Often found by the roadside apparently free from traffic injury.
