j-j Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 And this old 208 was formerly owned by Thain's Bakery, hence the colour scheme. Its current owner(who owner has a long mullet, buck teeth and looks like he's just walked out of Royston Vasey) removed the Thain's signwriting but kept the drawing of a fat baker for a while, its now plain white over red with a hint of rust. And for the number plate spotters out there, its the only motor I've seen with FUD on the plate.Ah! there was one of these MB vans in Glasgow west end for ages owned by a veggy place called 'Roots and Fruits' and it was painted all green with white graphics - all looked shabbier than a dog that's been starved a week then kicked in the canal then reinstated. It was immensely rusty such that I think you could see in when the sliding door was closed! Not been that way for a while - hope it's still there so I can post a pic of the wondrous abomination!
VWPowered Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 i used to have a T2 Merc (307) when i worked at ATS was a ruddy great motor
Milford Cubicle Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I might have imagined it, but I think the Vehi-Cross was sold officially in the UK for a very short time.I love the look of them, very 'Judge Dredd'
Minimad5 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Now i understand why you said about the Vehi-cross on one of my posts !Great spots btw, just read from page 1 and im impressed
Angrydicky Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 That Austin Devon is a very rare early one with the small headlights - nice spots
brammy777 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 That E36 is scabbing up nicely. A (presumably) really rich old bloke round here has one thats even worse than that.
barrett Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Does anybody want to identify the mystery carNot really, but I suppose I will anyway. It's a '39 GM product, Buick or Pontiac but more likely to be a Buick... Grilles are very similar on both
brammy777 Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Great find right there, thats a perfect collection. I see a 505 estate as well, hopefully you will be able to photo that one day.
Richard Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I know where that garage is, I've driven past it a few times. The chod does seem to change so somebody must be buying it.
brammy777 Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Its been cleaned up alot hasnt it? That VDP is also a great spot, looks like a proper daily too, bet its had the same owner for decades.
Milford Cubicle Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I like how the Civic has been caged with heras fencing. I expected cars to be mega-rusty up there but even the cliff-top Golf doesn't look too bad.
Barry Cade Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 And for the number plate spotters out there, its the only motor I've seen with FUD on the plate.Vey common on Volvo's.. my mates 850 T5 has a FUD plate.. it also has 300+ BHP, so people don't tend to laugh very long. Thing is he's not long bought an S40 diesel, which also has a FUD plate.. people are beginning to think they are personal plates... >> just checked.. Volvo UK are in Marlow, and UD is an Oxford area code, so must have been registered by Volvo UK. Every one I've seen with FUD registrations have been top spec.. maybe fleet or press cars?
