so gonna be visiting land of squiggly again and cant rent a car - they dont take debit cards and didnt want to give them cash deposit

so looking at stuff there was the corolla (was looking at the 70s ones) but too far away or knackered - did see a ke16 1967 which made me ❤️ but wary of using that with no shakedown might result in a ruined holiday

had been looking at opel (!) astras - saw a nice saloon but it sold the day i saw it

peugeot 505 was on the list but wasnt cheap and would need ££ before use

405 considered the two i looked at one was nice but too far away (its not like getting a train from leeds to london )

the other was close but fucked

so its come down to these two after looking at coronas (yeah really) but they are what we call carinas here zzzzzz unless its an early 80s one but i found one and then couldnt find the link again - i was upset for a week

so as in the first post

what do i do

oh i was looking at bikes and scooters  - conan cant help as he cant ride and landing then going looking i wasnt sure how that would pan out - but ive seen BKK traffic and bikes arent allowed on motorways here (?)

so

after looking at lots of coronas and ke70 was looking at 504 pick up but toyota engine and expensive and a lovely on the outside 305 but its been sat two years

- again same as the ke16 didnt wanna chance it

then B310 and B11 sunnys

(mega cheap - almost had the money in a packet from last time) but was too far away (chiang mai is 10 hour drive lol)

was seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on an 88ish accord

but it was rusty in weird places (fine for thai mot scarily so swerve)

then looked at nissan sentra

but again sold before i could get it looked at cos it was cheap

so after serving at lots of 70s nissan and mitsubishis - i went looking at galants

found a nice one guy used it as his daily driver but looking at the pics conan found a big problem - for some reason it had a toyota engine in it *swerve

found another that was as nice and slightly cheaper but got the big FRO when the guy asked for money first without being asked

ke70 came up on the list cos i like the shape and the ke30 corolla were either again knackered or too much money

but conan said his friend was selling a 4age converted one and i was 85% on it)

untill conan showed me a mazda 626 in ALL TEH BEIGE!!!!!!........................

it looked ok from the pics bit dusty and slightly battered (from the front)

id only seen a front and side pic

91k miles and giffer owner

not a lot of mot but mots are like french ones only more relaxed

ran ok cold stuttered when hot but still driveable

conan i think made a mess when checking out the rear seat
