It's a Mexican built VW Beetle... I know they are a bit of a faux pas around here, but i reckon being built by a load of sonbrero wearing gringos in blankets should gain it some shite points

I'm down here most weekends - can check it out if you like. I'm fairly familiar with the beasts as I owned a few in my youth. If the sills don't have chicken wire/biscuit tin/cement in them and hasn't had a succession of MOT welding then you're half way there.

That'd be great if you could give it a once over for me Darren, it saves me a 12 hour trip if it looks to be a dog!If you could check the usual heater channel bottoms, inners along where they join the floorpan inside, the floor around the battery and the pedals both sides, the area under the seats and where the rear arch inner arches join the luggage area, as well as all the inner wings and any other common grot spots for me that'd be a right help. I'm after something as un-welded as possible. Engine isn't of great concern as i'd be picking it up on a trailer anyway, and i've got a good 1600 out my wizard roadster to go in...Cheers :)Mike

I've found a couple of others closer to hoe and cheaper so you can give the check over a miss cheers Darren Thankyou though!
