bunglebus Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 I think the design target was "mashup of every 90's dreary hatchback". It is possible to improve it though Skut 1
bunglebus Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Thanks to a mention in another thread, the Nissan Sunny Premium, AKA bAse spartacus 1

The "oval grill" era for ford. It worked for some cars Didn't work for others With the Mk3 Fiesta Si and the 1992 facelift of the Escort it really did look like an afterthought.

You can tell it was discussed for 30 seconds at best in a boardroom. There's still a ghost of the Prides sheet metal in the Nova like flare in the wheel arches. I only know about them as a friend is SC bought this one after they were inspired by my Panda. The cheek.
sierraman Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 It’s the sort of turd BL would have turned out. Here’s your parameters, it’s got to have the wheel base from the Kia Pride but the doors from an Escort and the heater from a Ford Explorer. spartacus and adw1977 2

Needs a bigger arch 6" further forward In fact now I look again, the whole body is 6" too far forward compared to the "chassis" This is the (only - ?) problem with rear-engine cars, and why rear-engine sportscars are often four seaters. The rear seats are just there to use up the wheelbase. If the wheelbase is made as short as it could be, you get a car like proportioned like a Smart.

Cord Fourteener Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Escort Mk5 facelift. Another car I had for a while! It's was my dad's cast-off, though. I wouldn't have chosen it I don't think, but it served me well.

rantingYoof Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202002077048627 BMW 114i. Before they got buzzy 1.5 three-pots...this is detuned 1.6 16v with a smidge over 100hp. I do not necessarily take umbridge with the targeting of the yoof market with insurance-friendly asthmatic models with wowzer colours and dark wheels. What I do distinctly take umbridge with is the fact it's available in Sport trim level. Just...no.
paulplom Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 11.2 seconds to 60mph. I bet that's a #hoot to drive. You probably can't even skid it.
