My cravings for a B2 Audi Coupe or Quattro Coupe have never gone away. It's nearly a year since I was on the verge of bidding for one just before I plumped for my R9 but the hankering is still there....My hankering for a nice 'future shite' vehicle which ticks all my boxes is still very much the last model Mitsubishi Galant, post Millennium if poss, although pre 51 reg for tax reasons. If I find myself with £4-5k I'll be upgrading that to a VR4 for sure

Wicked irony. There are 1.2 billion of these in America, and enough V6 models (did I mention petrol is about 50 pence per litre here?) that there's no reason to settle for a 2.2.

Yup. According to my copy of CAR, November 1976, the cheapest 1300 Capri was a shade over 2 grand, while one of these was £1500.
