New Purchase - Rover R8 Content

After a lengthy break from proper shite motoring I'm back with a vengeance! Facebook marketplace really came up with the goods, £200 later I'm the proud owner of this heap (pics below).  It's a 416 SLi. Whilst cosmetically challenged, it drives spot on, very comfy although very low geared, over 3000 rpm at 70mph. Needs a few jobs such as the driver's window sorting, service and I plan to attend to the bodywork in due course........ Anyway, I'll keep you all updated on progress on this and the rest of the fleet (2002 Passat PD130 Sport and an 02 plate Pug 206, should there be any interest on those).

Perhaps should've said in the original post, it's a 416 SLi so it's got the 16v 1.6 Honda engine in it.

Looks a good buy, well done. 

I do have a soft spot for R8 Rovers, I was resident engineer at Longbridge for PSA when the XUD engine was being installed. I would love a Tourer, diesel of course.

That's the one, didn't realise it was in the eBay tat thread, will have a look. 

Must admit I was lucky to get it, especially at that price. Apparently the bloke selling it had loads of interest. Bloody chuffed so far with it ?
