Tesco do autoshite!

I don't believe what I've just found lurking in the bottom of the cupboard in the workshop! I was rooting around for some odds and ends and I found a packet of Tesco own-brand J-cloths. Now I know this sounds a bit odd, as there's nothing intrinsically interesting or vaguely shite-worthy about J-cloths, but when you see the packet, you'll understand. I don't know how old they are (the price tag says 32 1/2p), but look at the crap little drawing on the front of the packet. It's a Mk. 4 Zodiac

Apologies for crapness of photo...

Incredible!Since half-pennies were phased out in what.. 1984? 1985??* they've got to be at least 25 years old. Great find!!!* We had some kind of collection thing at school where you brought all your ha'pennies in - was this normal, or just a ruse??

Thats actually quite cool! And I reckon there's not too many unopened ones around.

No, it's definitely a Mk. 4. The photo doesn't quite do it justice - I'll try and take a better one when I find the "decent" camera.I think that 1/2 pennies went around '84.

All those ha'pennies probably went in the teachers' beer money pot...

I found a half-pee last week, digging my front garden. They're like tinfoil-thick :)

My first thought was a MK2 Bond Equipe.

Looks like a generic car drawing! Them's where the days when they didn't require a whole team of designers for the packaging of cloths.

Managed to get a better pic of the packet last night, so here it is:

Probably a badly drawn Mk 4 Zodiac, after all at 32 1/2 p you're hardly likely to get Damien Hirst :)
