Cheers. Its going to get some attention that's for sure. Starting with searching for signs of rot, and making sure it stays away, getting the lamps sorted with a conversion kit I have, the mystery coolant loss issue, checking out the other bits. Fresh service and 'the list'!

well bought sir.

Looks as though you are sorted insurance wise, but you could always try Peter S Taylor for classic insurance.

The car needs to be over £1500 for Insurance purposes though.

Yeah, these are worthless in insurance terms. £350 auction sales list price! I had a look at some specialists but the s type was not fitting of their criteria. Besides, I don't want a mileage limit on it.

Lovely cars.......I just sold mine last week after 2 years and nearly 30,000 miles.

Jag rads seem to like to bulge at the bottom with time.....mine was like it (replaced 6 days before selling!) and the x350 that replaced it is the same.

Why didn't I logon yesterday, only just seen this, and local too

Land Rover is the same. Bends and then sweats for the rest of it's useful life!

This one I would imagine can just be driven ... Or more likely ... Wafted

It does. I'll be taking my survival kit of mini socket set, screwdrivers, adjustable spanner, Wire cutters, Vice grips, Gaffa tape, Bottle of water, wire, cable ties, tyre inflator, Hall and Oates CD and an inspection lamp.

Important questions I need to ask seller:

  • Where's the locking wheelnut key?
  • Where's the nearest pez station?
  • Can I use the toilet?

Cannot wait for the collection Fred capers.

It'll be fired straight into service by doing a 125 mile round trip from collectioning it!

Can I use the toilet?

Following a party a few years ago there is now a charge!
