^^ Do cars disappear from the DVLA database when scrapped? My dads old Rover written off in 1988 still shows on DVLA.

Posted

Recently scrapped cars do, cars scrapped in the past are just forever untaxed.

Tis true my old Cortina I scrapped in 1995 still shows on the DVLA database

Unacceptable bonnet buldgeness. Probably caused by the canal boat engine under there.

£7,000 and it needs the engine ripping out ,a new bonnet and half the interior replacing. These things are going up in price hourly, talk about missed the boat, I can't even find the fuckin' port.

How long before people start un- bob tailing them ( and not just on paper)?

Yes they are,but what started as mild interest has now turned into out and out must have desire, now I realise I'll never be in the position to buy a really nice one.

Buy a dog, they all drive the same. Then do it up as you go along.

See it as a purchase for life.

Yes,that's probably the way to go,but whilst I can live with a rough Disco or Series to me a Range Rover should at least look nice( even though it drives like a dog).
