That GS is incredible. But as it was officially destroyed on the French scrappage deal I'd have thought it wouldn't have the paperwork required to register it here?

Saab Turbo in Silver, lovely.

No worries mate (sets alarm for 3:45 am)

you know, when someone properly piss's me off, I generally put an advert in the free ads for a high-spec MX5 for sale about a grand below the Glass guide price as I need a "quick sale due to new job abroad". then I put the phone nunber of the person thats pissed me off, along with the casual note that I work shifts so best to catch me between 4am & 6am

Have we had this grim machine yet?

I don't think even noddy himself would give this garage space.

I didn't win that Audi V8, which is a bullet dodged I think. There wasn't a lot of info on the car, and I assume that it isn't even registered here yet. Some slightly suspicious bidding activity, and the fact that when I looked through the sellers feedback he apparently 'sold' it a few months ago for £750 put me off in the sober light of day. I will keep my eyes out for one though!

How about this Quantum (Leap) of faith? A guy I know had two of these for his sons just after passing their driving tests. The insurance was indeed a lot cheaper than the equivalent Fiesta it's based on.

This car was rescued from the crusher in France having fallen foul of their Scrappage scheme, just as many classics and near classics were lost in the UK through similar schemes. Luckily for me a colleague from Lille spotted it and rescued it, only to discover that it was completely rust free (a miracle for virtually any GS) having been always garaged, and only covered 56900 miles from new.

Cripes!

I looked at the bid history and guessed you were the winner as thought you had been the first bidder. You may well have literally been dodging bullets if anyone had seen it being driven around and thought that you were the previous owner. Alternatively you could have been tried for war crimes and ended up on trial at the Hague. Either way, NOT GOOD.

See, that kind of reasoning doesn't even remotely put me off from my ambition to own (and drive) a GAZ-24 Volga one day. If anything, it adds to the excitement.

Den Haag is a very pretty place, what are you all afraid of? ;-)

I recognise that black Mustang, it was very well-known in the AACNW about ten years ago.  Added to my Watch List, obviously...

I'm trying to work out how I could justify a bid on the Stang... someone hold me back!
