That's fantastic. It looks like the body work is mostly made out of potatoes and it's been painted by a soft boiled egg.

When I had it it had the original base door cards in it , I think I had the centre console and  clock that I sold with the car but didn’t have them fitted .   It had the original 1.3 diff in it when I had it i bet that’s not been changed .I made the mistake of poly bushing it all and it drove horribly hard .

I thought auto 1.6 45s started off with Honda engines but manuals always had K series lumps. Maybe I have been misinformed but my Y reg manual 1.6 45 appears to be K series.

I think 45s did, yeah.  The early 45-shape 400s had the Honda engine in manual form, I forget exactly when that stopped but it was before they became the 45.

I used to own that. It did have some rust underside and inner wings which i welded, maybe 7 years ago ish. I'd watch for the rust it had in the rear quarters (it may have been done) It always had rear boot lock problems, the catch used to come loose and move about and get damaged, way back when I thought i had sorted it with new bolts and blue loctite, maybe something else is now broken.

It was a good one litre, it would sit all day at 75-80 if you didnt mind the racket 🤣

There are two types of  France  🇫🇷

This one...

And this one...

Both are equally charming...but in a very different way.

They are probably in-period accessories...plus belle indeed.

I've seen this before and IIRC it's a Tour de France car, the handles being for mechanics to hold on to whilst leaning out precariously to adjust Jaques Anquetil's gears whilst he's still pedalling along at 50km/h.
