My Godfather bought one of these, brand new, when he retired. He claimed it was a very well built , top quality vehicle and an absolute bargain. He moved to Spain and only traded it against a Duster last year.

 

His job before retirement? A QC inspector at Longbridge...

So not really qualified then !!! The shit he let go........

Seeing that reminds me that my brother had an almost identical one years ago which "rested" on my mother's driveway for a considerable time, I say almost identical as it had a big scorch mark on the bonnet due to a minor engine fire. I don't remember what happened to it and can't remember if he ever fixed it. I do remember my mother telling me about it on the phone when he left it there, as when I asked what car it was, she said it was a blue one. (As she didn't drive I can understand her not knowing the make or model, but gold is nothing like blue)

Yes, that is wonderful. Even better that the interior isn't as bad as the outside. See, it is possible to hoover and wipe over an interior before taking a photo, even on a shitter.
