It's a Star Sapphire, so the least desirable version of a car far away from the desires of the mainstream to begin with.

Still, these are darn good cars though, mind, but since when does that count? Only the real shit ever becomes valuable, see Escorts as an example. Or Ferraris.

I have followed many an Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire sale throughout the decades, since I always wanted one (and once that's achieved, I'll not explain anything to anyone, in fact, I'll stop talking to people altogether, with the exception of giving them orders), but I have never ever seen one selling near half of 38k, even during the insane early Naughties buying frenzy. Seeing that the bottom has now dropped out of the posh saloon market, I'd say an eighth of the asking price will soon be realistic. We are not far off the day 38k will buy you a shonky Phantom II saloon, mark my words. Lesser pre war Royces are already not selling for that much.

This seller is deluded and suffers from one of the most severe cases of entitlement complex I have ever seen.

£26'000 for a Hillman Super Minx Convertible? This guy is an epic pisstaker. If anyone can get proper money for an Armstrong Sidney Syphilis 378 it's this joker.

£4000. Not sure if that's expensive or not. Manual 733i with the old L Jetronic engine, would be lively.

That's mega fit. £4,000 seems a fair price, too.

It's a bit too far away for me and he has flogged the grille. It might be worth a punt though as I sold my last one which was rougher than this for £1650, it went to eastern Europe. So this one might make a bit more being a lot closer to Dover

What's that hard top off? It's resting on a Dyna X van I reckon

Hardtop looks a bit Renault Floride

As used in Diamonds are Forever, or was that the coffin nose version? It’s the right colour.

That was a '71. Completely different generation and about half the size.
