I really like those wheels, one of the best alloys this century IMHO.

And the V5 must be worth a shot.

One of the few alloy wheel designs that aspire to look like Halfords worst plastic wheel trims. Good effort.

Given that the golf, beetle and TT share common platforms would a 3.2 V6 fit in a beetle? That would be interesting

I hate those GTO's. They remind me of a time ~20 years ago when any 22 yr-old dickhead who could get a bank loan, bought an 8-10 yr old grey import one and got about 8 months use out of it before it found itself parked up behind a local garage with a popped turbo or clutch that their warehouse operative/plasterers assistant wage had no chance of clearing

Great Days! Shame I was too young to drive, and thus enjoy those 8 months of super car ownership....

I think I'd like a MK4 Golf V5. Or maybe a Passat.

All GTOs were 4x4, and possibily 4 wheel steer I can't recall. Only the Yankee Dodge Stealths were available with FWD. Turbos were also available from the start. Despite the NA being fairly pointless, I like this drug dealer example;

Thats not quite right. The 3000GT/GTO was available with fwd on the base models, which was the case for the Stealth as well. 4WS was an option on higher spec models of the Mitsubishi, I dont think it was available on the Stealth. All years were available as Twin Turbo, I want one with a manual before they become unaffordable.

Presumably have to be chained to the roof from the wheels, a !400kg plastic car with a huge front clamshell, a targa roof and fairly large glass rear hatch isn't going to be easy.

I’m not sure its upside down, but hoisted up to the top of the container on wires to fit something below it.

I like the idea of something like this but lack the 'nads to drive it with modern traffic even on quiet days. I didn't know Morris Minor was a name in the 20's and 30's. Trailer board rear lamps a bit shit too.

I've never seen a FWD Mitsubishi specially. Was there a specific below SR? Just interested as it's always fun discovering odd ball versions of old cars.

I have no idea what this is as I've not got permission to view it on Retro Rides. I assume it's some sort of Wartburg?

You're way off - it's another Nissan pastiche.

Meanwhile in the commercial tyre centre, Dave's lost his L-bar extensions and Simon's motorbike has got new exhausts

It's actually located in France, so I hope the seller is ready for the 'cat bid by mistake' brigade.

This is near me somewhere, as saw it very recently. If it had a VW badge on it'd be five times this and every VAG licker in the world would be bidding on it.

The TV adverts show that if you've got an 8 year old child they want you to buy a new car that does self parking or opens the garage door on its own or some such bollocks.

When my kids were 8 they bundled half a dozen mates into the back seats of my Land Rover 110 and laughed for the whole journey, laughing even more when we parked and they jumped out from the great height.  If I'd have had something like this they'd have been the most popular kids in school
