has proven very reliable

It has had the following parts fitted over the past 2 years

new clutch, crankshaft rear oil seal, clutch slave cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, master cylinder seal kits, full engine service, tie rod bushes, new centre prop bearing, new thermostat housing, new thermostat, fresh antifreeze, new screen washer pump, new float chamber needle and seat, fuel tank sender unit made working, 2 front wheel bearings, 1 bottom trunion joint, replacement alternator

It also has had new rear leaf springs and bump stops, new steering rack and exhaust rear section, electronic ignition. 3 new tyres.

Yeah, but otherwise it has proven very reliable, honest.

Perfect for doing the synagogue run completely incognito.

Wasn't someone on here after one of these recently?

I never got why they put mingebag headlights in these - is it just because van?  Surely mingebag headlights + plastic surrounds + admin etc couldn't have been that much cheaper?  It's like when they fitted a different dash to the Marina Van - it's like punishment for driving a van.

Wrong. Single dial on Marina and Sherp is reward. Very late single dial with mystical crescent of many warning lamps is dashboard Shangri-fucking-la. Red card.

"I started this conversion at Xmas and will be taking time out from my day job to finish in the coming weeks. I will be lowering the body 30mms and play lining the pay load. I will add more pics as the build progresses if it ever stops raining !"

Here's an idea. If it's going to be done in the next few weeks, perhaps it might be a good idea to, you know, finish it before you try and sell it?

The ebay way. Car for sale at time of listing is two granules of rust in a jar with no V5. If I get time I'll rebuild it immaculate, will fly through test.

I like all the trucktat.  I always wanted to go in the cab of one of those, but mummy told me not to talk to strange men.

She'd better not catch you hanging out on here then.

Some VERY RECENT Damage To The Passenger Side Front Wing

Oh I Guess That's OK Then, Damage Doesn't Count If It's VERY RECENT.

Random capitals and Pistonheads sticker (plus not needing/wanting an ageing Camry) mean I'm out, but perhaps I'm missing a great opportunity.

The most interesting Junkman in the World says:-

"I don't always drive a Capri, but when I do it's a beige Badermatic Capri"

Although in this price segment any self respected Junkman would go for a Badermatic Corvette.

(Junkmen are such scene tax dodgers, you know)

Shit, that's been for sale for ages at banger money even before the wing took a battering. Not much hoped or it now I think. Shame. I like it.

Here is a bonus "It's fucked" Junkman spec Capri :-

There I was farming away, I opened the barn and IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when there was a Ford Capri that had been forgotten all about.

So I put it on eBay with an advert that is written almost exclusively not in English.

Yes, I tried to buy it in July, left messages no one ever got back to me , bought the 100 Avant instead. Maybe if it's still for sale this summer it would do for this years hols.
