That Rover Tourer looks familar. I'm 99% sure that was the one owned by a local lunatic with 'Grandads Chariot' or some other bollocks in big letters down the side. I remember he parked up at the Nissan dealer I was working at a few years ago and was looking around for anyone to pay attention to him in it. He was a gravelly voiced 60 year old bloke with smokers teeth who climbed out the Rover in a short brown leather jacket and strutted about the forecourt with his mutton wife like he was Charley big potatos. Turned out he was also a clueless bullshitter mental. The engine ran on for a few minutes after he parked up and he bemused fellow showroom punters by shouting across the forecourt at any that vaguely looked in the Rovers direction "Don't worry it's meant to do that, yeah it does that".

I figured it was a modified T Series Turbo, so a bit intrigued I asked him. "I'll never sell it. Some bloke walked up to me and placed 12 grand out in cash on the bonnet, and I was like 'nah mate' " ..... " It's a 2.7 litre " he said. When I questioned this, and suggested that it must surely be a 2.0 T Series Turbo the look on his face was like he'd just been rumbled boarding the bus in the Great Escape.

Durango is no more than a Cherokee in drag and cheaper in every way. That's £1200 tops I would have thought.
