I can't even take the credit: remember Roger who came with me when I brought you the 406?  He sent me the link tonight.  I'm trying to persuade him to bid!

we took a ride out to Thorton Dale yesterday afternoon cos, well, it was a nice day, and these 2 beauties are to be sold at their auction next week.

http://www.mathewsons.co.uk/vehicle-auction-catalogue/1673-1982-austin-ambassador

this, 2 owners and 23,0000 miles, and pretty spotless from what i could see

Ambassader_SAK363Y_11.jpg

and this,

http://www.mathewsons.co.uk/vehicle-auction-catalogue/1719-1981-austin-maxi-ii-hl

4 owners and 89,000 miles, and this too looks like its just camed off of the production line

Maxi_HCN17W_5.jpg

estimate on both £2-3000 which i guess is about right, i likes the wedge, kerry likes the Maxi, and i think we may have either a cheeky bid, or go and them go under the hammer.

i could see myself drive either, though if forced to choose, it would be the Maxi

or maybe the Ambassador,

no, no the Maxi definitely

i think.....

maybe....

'Car has been off road (Sorn) for past 18 months'

'The car will need 4 new tyres to pass an MOT'

'So buy it, put 4 tyres on it, get it MOT'd'

'Number 57 off the production line and according to the Sera collectors club, easily the earliest version of the Sera on the road.'

Imagine being shoehorned into this for a week? You'd be right on top of each other most of them time, there's no way anyone would get me in it.

I know it came from Wales, but I'm pretty sure even they have a 'b' in their language.

Greetings, ShitePickers, today we're going back in time to the magical year of 1998, first week of Feb to be precise (not 'arf) and a look at the top ten.

Coming in to number 10 at ten is 'You're Still The One (off)' by Shania Twain. Backing lyrics by the Proton Jumblefucks and recorded in a shed in Bromsgrove

s-l1600.jpg

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROTON-JUMBUCK-GTI-CUSTOM-1-8-EVO-4-ONE-OFF-/311709188143?hash=item489350c02f:g:Bf0AAOSwmLlX7rCe

Nah nah nah nah na na nahhhhhh

Dropping two places to number 9 is Robbie Williams and 'Anglias'  Robbie changed the original lyrics from 'I'm loving Corsairs instead on advice from his manager at Wanker Bastard Records

s-l1600.jpg

New entry and number 8 this week, 'Getting Jiggy With It' by Will Smith. Smith recorded this popular song from his holiday bolt hole in Spain where it's rumoured he liked to get rear ended

s-l1600.jpg

(BOTH MATURE DRIVERS, NEVER BEEN EATEN OR SMOKED)

And at seven it's Never (Ever Been Welded) by All Saints. An interesting fact about the highly popular girl group is that none of them have ever actually been in a Talbot, though most of them have been in my dreams. I'd defo 'fluff' them pop pickers, that's for sure. But I'm dead so I can't.
