"1954 Volkswagen Beetle "THE VERY BEST" 1200 Oval window, nut and bolt restored"

I'll be honest mate, if I was paying 18 grand for a Volkswagen, claiming it was the very best, I would want:

1. The passenger's door to shut properly so the chrome trim lines up

2. The carpet fitted properly

3. No rust inside the boot

4. The correct cover over the dashboard wiring

5. The horn wiring not hanging down

6. Don't laden it down with those awful chrome accessories it would never have had

7. The wrong ignition coil

8. Fucking house wiring connector blocks in the engine bay!!

Still, best of luck and all that.

"Hello, I'd like a quote for some life insurance please.  No, I don't work in a hazardous industry, it's just an office.  No, I don't ride a motorbike.  No, I don't pay dangerous sports or anything like that.  Great, that sounds like a cheap quote, I'll pop around to your branch now and pick up the paperwork, I'll drive so should be there in a few minutes."

I love that Spitfire, it's turning into an eBay favourite.

Hahahahaha. Not bad, it's certainly different (and it screams blue forum). Probably sounds good - look at the exhausts. Needs a proper steering wheel too.

It's gonna need numberplates as well, those painted-on ones are in no way remotely legal.

That poor old Shadow didn't deserve that. I think he is dreaming to get 3.5k for it though

That belongs to someone I know- a real petrol head. That Rolls has had a hard life with him over the years I've known it, but don't think it has ever suffered a FTP. And its never seen a drop of nitromors, its just aged that way.

I think these might be one of those "not worth the aggro" cars but seems cheap at £1500 for 255hp, 46000 miles and lots of geegaws..

Might just need an oil change and a thrash down the autostrada.....         http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201605023559027

Had it up at £2350, I'd say something's terminal or unobtanium that's broken

Alfasud Ti for 5000SEK

Runs perfectly but off the road for 12 years but, it says, probably really easy to get its ticket, after all what could be wrong with an Alfasud thats been parked up for over a decade. It gave the previous owner Alzheimers.

Looks nice though

It is 5000 SEK, but that is about 430 GBP.

Would be worth a bit more without those wheel trims I reckon

The mot history on that is not a comforting read.

Which is a shame.

Potentially daft question but

Service brake: efficiency below requirements (3.7.B.7)
Parking brake: efficiency below requirements (3.7.B.7)

Are they different things?
