I've been messaging the seller about this, and it does sound a good one bar the grotty arches. I shouldn't be buying more cars, but whatever. Might have a go if it stays cheap.

 

It was up for £875 and then £745 before being sold and now up with a different seller for £575, It sounds like he went to the Wilson Wilson School of business sense.

OMG Bangernomics alert: £100 opening bid, no bids with an hour to go. MOT to July. No idea if it runs on chip fat etc.

Quick sale needed. Timing belt needs changing & a few fluid leaks. Rear bumper has been run into but only aesthetic damage. Otherwise no problems with it. No electrical faults. Runs fine, just sounds horrible due to timing belt. Pick up only.

Go to view this AX and if you're lucky the seller might throw the keys at you from an upstairs window. Or they might just cower behind the sofa until you stop ringing the doorbell.

Aagh! Really, really, is it possible to sell a car with this kind of ad? I guess it is at this kind of price level but unless it's completely fucked inside and as rusty as the Bismarck on the outside then surely a couple more pictures would be a good thing?

Look at this 'beauty' from the days when VW specialised in the awkward and gawky and were therefore much more loveable.

 

One owner from 1972 to 2005, and all original with service history etc. Nice colour too!

Technically this is an NSU.

It was due to be launched at the 1969 Geneva Motor show but was removed from the NSU stand by VW on the eve of the show and re launched a year later as a VW.
