The 400 diesel on the last page is also appealing.

 

IIRC, these have a non common-rail engine with a Bosch pump. Basically a 2.0 version of the XUD. I remember somebody on the 306 forums back in the day getting a 220TD and doing a cheeky pump tune on it, and it went like stink.

It's nothing to do with an XUD, it's a development of the Perkins Prima but they don't share many parts. They are all direct injection with Bosch pumps, intercooled versions use electronic diesel control a bit like a VW TDI and non-intercooled versions have a nice mechanical VE pump.

Undoubtedly looks nice, but must be a limited market at that money? Found an old ad for it at £2495 back in 2014.

 

It's pretty local to me, and I'll happily view it if anyone is interested, but I doubt my services will be required by anyone on here.

That FWD viva soft-top is an eBay favourite, I think it was for sale on there for about 4 years in total for assorted sums between 4000 and 10000

amazing late plate madness? the auto version of the austin metro's did last about 18 months or so after the Rover Metro went on sale as the rover one initially didn't have an auto option.

and those wing mirrors are odd aren't they? driver side is Rover passenger side is Austin? or am i talking rubbish....
