More Mondeo love. This is properly tempting. Hand me the hairdryer!

This one looks deliciously miserable.

I have a nasty feeling I may be replacing the XM with a Mondeo at some point this year...

'Shows signs of wear and tear'

As a former commercial tyre fitter, the first thing I'd do is fling those D20 rear wheels.

£350 gets you my eBay find of the day. There is just nothing not to like about this car.

I remember my mate (or his parents) has an Astra GLS estate 1.7 td with a big intercooler badge on it when it was new. It was pretty rapid from memory.

me dad had a mark 1 mondeo LX, it was a nice old bus.

sunroof, leccy windows, central locking, velour trim and a good stereo, as was Fords normal equipment list on the povvo model back then.

Misadvertised Maxi.  Not sure if it's an early one with some later bits fitted or a later one that's been rung.  Either way it's cheap.

If I didn't have a VDP and an 1100 to fix and a saab to sell I would be all over this like an archbishop at an orphanage....

Any tractor botherers on here? This looks quite impressive, in a completely shite way.

I once had a real brown-trouser moment on one of those. It had an overdrive as well as the 2 x 3 speed 'box and what I didn't know was that in overdrive there was no engine braking; it freewheeled!

So there I was, brain in neutral, hand throttle set to the max governed engine speed (12mph), over the crest of a hill pulling a big, heavy, awkward potato harvester.

Eventually I twigged that despite the steady engine note I was going too fast, much too fast........

This is just up the road from me and would represent far too much of a temptation if it wasn't going to be way out of my price range, its still in my watch list just in case .......

That's a 6.2litre GM V8 Diesel engine in a Ford Transit Mk3

'IVECO rear axle'

He had to go and spoil it, didn't he?
