Looks like a straight 8.

But only 5 spark plugs visable ?? looks more like a 6 in that picture

 

Ok looked at the picture in the actual listing and it is an 8 Although Vantman's picture is at a strange angle and makes the engine look smaller.

Vantman's picture shows the six-cylinder engine of a DeSoto Airflow, or a Chrysler of Canada Airflow Six, model CY, which was basically a DeSoto Airflow with a Chrysler grille, bumpers, instrument panel and emblems. Entirely btw, these were the first cars ever to have a printed circuit for the dashboard. I'm sure you always wanted to know this important* tidbit of car history.

OOO P's my floors have rusted out. I've never seen a plate beginning OOO. Any number perv's know were that comes from?

 

Essex, innit.  Some Ford press cars had OO plates.
