As a penance for the last post - Jean Paul Gaultier appears to be selling an Automatic Mini in Liverpool

Good to see a traditional manual choke cable lock and half-eaten Krooklock in the same picture.

Also nice to see the clothes peg on the ash tray for use with aforementioned manual choke.

Whoops - just re-read the original post.

A car that'll get you noticed. Personally I wouldn't want to drive it anywhere, let alone Europe.

Reno 19 convertible needing a roof and a floor. I like the roof cover behind the seats, way smarter than the baggy dolls pram look my Z3 sports.

I get the whole 'start higher than you expect to get' thing... But on eBay? Some cars on there are priced stupidly optimisticly

That's what leads to all the "wots yer best price m8" chancers.

I fricking love these, had two and both were cracking fun. This looks in amazing condition. I dont know if 2k is a bit much but if its as good as it looks, shirley a good investment.

At half the price and in a much better colour I reckon this one is a better choice. I actually caught myself thinking about replacing the Swift with it which is a bit worrying. I'm a bit put off that it's in Barrow-In-Furness though, salt water on three fronts.

Edit: Christ, the insurance is cheaper than my current car too.

I had a 607 with the 2.0 HDI engine.  It wasn't a bad old thing, although it could never be described as fast.  Good motorway cruiser though, and quite frugal on a run.

can somebody explain why buying this would be a bad idea.

Apart from "wheels look shit", I can see that from here....£995, 54 reg, 189k. 12months ticket.

No mention of history.

I've just answered my own question haven't I?

£350 for a road legal XJ40 and it's 16 miles away and I've been drinking strong Belgian beer. Glad I have no money.
