Apols for posting that Rover, that (unbeknown to me) had already been posted twice - it came up as a brand new listing so I assumed it was news.  Also I was dazzled by the anti-static dangly things hanging off the back.

To atone for this annoying sin, here's a shiny TWO-TONE Bluebird to cheer everyone up.

When are two-tone paint jobs coming back, do you think?  Or have they gone the way of vinyl roofs?

The only modern production cars I can think of off the top of my head with two-tone paint jobs are Rollers and Bentleys...

This is great, two door estate - when did they stop making two door estates? (Allegro, etc).

Would be fantastic with my Isuzu 1.7 working in there.

The Panhard seller also now has 2 Renault Domaines as he bought mine. He is a very nice bloke and has a yard in Brittany. The Panhard is pretty rough though as I did ask about it and he didn't seem keen to do a deal as it needs a lot more work than my Domaines did. Judging by the pictures it is probably still in France as well.

A not too stupidly priced Renault 20 Diesel in Rouen and he will pick you up from the train station !! About 50 quid train from Paris then drive it back as he said it would drive back here no problem. Eurotunnel is 80 quid one way so what are you waiting for.

He has sent me some more pictures and I would of gone for it , but I got a good deal on a 204 diesel instead

Really like that Tina, especially as it comes on the correct steels (the alloys are great, but need to be on a mk5).

R20 also great but diesel means I'm out.

200 quid Vel Shatis. Looks alright actually.

Binis? Most Shitruns? Renno Craptur? Fault 500? Kia Sole?

I see two-toning making a strong comeback. Almost all concept cars are two toned too, so we will see more of it in the near future.

I find this strangely appealing. I wouldn't want to drive it though, but it would be nice to have in the living room and with the removable fabric "bodywork" I could get different outfits made for it. A nice tweed set for the winter and something lightweight and floral for the summer.

This one is wearing an outfit from the Winter Ski Resort range.

Ha, yes... and them. Totally didn't even think!! Hell, I've even owned a black and silver bini... erased it from my memory, quite obviously. Hateful thing, crashy suspension, rode dreadfully. Took it to the other half's parent's place in King's Lynn (about a 2 hour drive from here) and I don't think I've been so knackered after driving a car for what's not a massive journey.  Managed to sell it for what I paid for it, which was a small bonus...

Ford Ka, Focus, oh hang on does a tide mark count as two-tone?

That's just the roofs though (apart from maybe a couple of Fiat 500s).  I want proper 1980s tide marks like that Bluebird, or a Montego LX, or Citroen's Leader boggo trim level.

They actually did do a two-tone Ka, there's a blue and silver one I see locally from time to time.

Rover R8s are often two-tone with a grey underside, my 220 and Joe's slightly squished 216 both have it, it looks good but it does tend to make the car look a little dated compared to the single-colour models.

That Vel Satis is actually cheap enough that if it did turn out to be a massive headache you could break it for that and scrap the rest.  I can't imagine sitting for 5 years has done it any good though.

There's something not quite right about that Vel Shatis ad.

The MOT certificate which was issued about 6 months before it was taken off the road states the mileage as 71,383 miles. We didn't do a lot more miles in it after that.

And yet:

Mileage: 103,000

32,000 miles in 6 months is quite a lot of miles boss! Probably a mistake and for 200 snots you can't go wrong really.

This on the other hand, looks very clean. Wonder what it'll go for? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190-le-merc/141731183246?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29973%26meid%3Db5c7337e92c2470eb48fa06548903b15%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D231629908674

(As an aside, what is with EBay posts and THE NEED TO US BAD SPELIN NO OPUNKTUATIN ANF CAPS?!?!?//? If I was trying to sell something, I'd put in a spot of effort with the intention of not being thought of a moron, who would probably accept a piece of paper torn from a McDonald's bag with 'IOU' written on it, in lieu of payment)
