Having already had a reminis prompted by a datsun cherry loike what i learnt to drive in we now have an acty loike what i learnt about engines on.

Bought it from a bloke called Bernard who rented a barn on the previously mentioned datsun cherry farm. engine came in a couple of tea chests, but was guaranteed all there.

No workshop manual or owt, so i had to work it out using the "AA book of the car" over about 2 years. It's a simple 2 cylinder parallel twin, so nothing too complex.

I'd like to say it ran like a sewing machine when i finished, but i was a teenager and didn't really do a good job. Learnt a lot though.

B56UOD where are you now.

THIS CAR WAS MY MATES FIRST CAR, HE ROLLED IT IN A DITCH OVER 20 YEARS AGO!

IT WAS PUT IN A WAREHOUSE UNTIL LAST WEEK

Since it's already been bid to over £1,000 in the first ten hours, I would like your mate to manage my investment portfolio.

Look at the bright side - the door seal is structural!

FIFY (which is more than anyone could do with that mini)

Look at the bright side - the door seal is mint!

Just as well, it appears to be structural.

Surely can't be anything major preventing this 306 from starting?

Nearly a full MOT, looks tidy. £125.

Do you think you could turn up, have a two-minute tinker, get it running and still only have to pay the asking price? If you can't get it started then just say 'nah, I don't like the colour' and walk away.

I had exactly the same thought after a thread on Retro Rides mentioned them, I suspect they're one of those cars where an expensive one will be good and a cheap one would be an absolute nightmare.  Couple of cheap ones on eBay...

I'd hate to start sourcing parts for any Subaru, having done that for a year. Never again.

This was on a while back. It's up for £100 less that last time.

Look at that sill! I would probably go and see this if I hadn't already just found a replacement for my trashed Saxo.

Shame that wasn't about when a mate of mine was looking to replace his Saxo (which was so decrepit a stiff breeze would have left it in pieces). Looks like a bit of a gem that one.
