Look at the state of this.

That would be the obvious way to go about making a two door version of a car which already exists in two door form.

That means the reserve is at least 50p.

Hmmmm, perhaps one that does not look like a stupid tent?

You don't really notice that its broken in half what with the long grass .... I saw this car when it was on a trailer and there is literally nothing left of the underneath I can only imagine that someone wants the plate but even that is unlikely as you need an mot to transfer as I understand the rules....I cannot see what you could take off to get your money back apart from the glass....

You could very nearly see the point of these hopelessly shite, metro based TT impostors when it cost 30 grand to get an actually Audi TT. However now you can get TT's for sub 2 grand (less than the asking price for this tub) so who the fuck would buy one? They should do themselves a favour, avoid the heart ache, dig a big hole and just bury it in their back garden.

^^^^^For a modded or Rodded Beetle, that actually quite appeals.

Much better to drive than any slammed 'n narrowed strength-through-joy wagon.

Is 4matic over complicated electronicy nonsense or is it proper gears and shafts?

It's Austrian, so it works.

Seriously though, it's part of the automatic gearbox and electronically controlled. If the rpm difference between front and rear wheels exceeds a certain threshold, whichcraft happens and it engages 4WD. It's not a permanent 4WD like later 4matics are, neither is it a sophisticated torque distribution system like the Jensen FF or Quattro.

Obviously spent too much time reading Bol's thread. First thought was to fit a Kettle-series in it. WCPGW.

And just what type of "purist" would be seen dead in that pile of spunk? Here's an idea....buy an xjs convert and don't look like a spastic

A Metro replica based on an  Audi TT would be more my kind of thing. The quattro turbo. in beige with 12 inch wheels :)

My father had one of these, same reg and everything. Lovely car, so well put together (I had to rewire the alarm because it had been put in by an ape). He flogged it about 12 years back for under a grand to a dealer, I was shocked when he told me and offered to buy it but he told me not to touch it because the gearbox was making "a noise". A few months later he heard back from the proud* owner, gearbox imploded, car beyond economnomnomical repair.

I had one of these a few years ago, it wasn't a paragon of reliability but a lovely drive.  I thought that I'd like another if I could find one in good nick, my old one was £350 so a minter should be £1200-£1500 I reckon.

This bloke has mistakenly priced his car in Greek Drachmas or French Francs when they had massive inflation in the '60s.  £2200 and it hasn't even got a ticket!
