I got slightly excited for a moment that that 164 might be a TD with the 4-headed monster, but alas it has the glorious 3 litre V6 so AHM OOT

LHD and a fairly ghastly colour under the muck too, I do love the snowplough front splitter on these though.  I had no idea there was a diseasel version.

A 2002 part-ex'ed, 117k miles 3.0 diesel Vel Satis.  Yes, it's dirt cheap but probably a bigger gamble than 795 lottery scratch cards.  Very clean and tidy though, no pictures of the engine but you'll be seeing plenty of that if you buy it anyway.

Lots of Euros but this is a mighty fine looking automobile...

More affordable 309-ness. Although I'm not convinced by the seller's patter, I doubt many will be swayed towards owning one by the revelation that it was meant to be a Talbot.

I like a 309 as much as the next man - but if this really is an "ideal starter classic" then I must be seriously old.

What do you get when France and America are tasked with building a camper van?

LeSharo is the smallest model Winnebago produced at the time and is built on the cab of a Renault Trafic (cheaper parts unlike many RV motorhomes)  with Winnebago adding their own aluminium rear body, interior, axle and all fittings
