In an Autoshite world, this would stay as it started out in life

In the real world next week it'll look exactly like a 2006 one with shitpiss 19" alloys and a snorkel.

There are times when I wish I had a barn, or huge lock up somewhere and I could buy stuff like this and hoard it away for 15 or 20 years.

This is my idea of a modern.

I would absolutely love one of these. Sadly they're still about 10 times more than what I can actually afford.

This looks as much like a 355 as I do Brad Pitt and they are not my bag at all. It is however at least semi sensibly priced as they usually ask 5 - 10 times this.

Soon to re-appear on eBay sporting gingham curtains and half a ton of Cath Kidston shite for £5000.

Also, seller appears to be a bit of a cabbage:

I looked at and test drove this very car recently . It was pretty underwhelming and just didn't feel like a luxury car somehow. Perhaps I'm too conditioned to Ze Germans idea of a barge. It's also a lot more money than an equivalent Krautmobile. Plus that 2.7 V6 is a slug whether in this or an XF. Just about OK in a Disco because they're supposed to be slow and thirsty.

All in all I was dissapointed, as I've always fancied one, I'm ashamed to say I bought a cheaper, newer, faster, more comfortable (IMHO) and more economical Merc E Class.

It needs saving. Until either scrap goes back up, or it's bonfire night again and you could set the bastard thing alight.
