Left hand drive BARN FIND P6 v8, you must have had to be pretty hardcore to buy one of these in France in the early 70's instead of a DS or whatever

For those who wanted a car that looks good, actually works, and has twice the power of a DS, it wasn't a bad choice.

His children not puking in it as soon as it is in motion was an added bonus.

Until the gearbox shits itself. Or the ignition goes. Or it causes Volvos to break down. Or one of many other mysterious maladies.

That seems a remarkable bargain.  Almost tempting...hey Bo11ox, chuck that on an A-frame behind the 305 van when you're heading back, yeah?  Thanks.

Yeah I thought that and not too far away. Trouble is the poole cherbourg crossing with the trailer is 500 quid which removes any profit that could of been had. Unless anyone has any shit that needs transporting out there to cut costs

That's been on ebay several times before at scrap value. Consensus = dreamer

This looks dead good

Good one

Ad does though use phrases like "STRONG ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION" and "SUSPENSION RISES THROUGH ALL THREE SETTINGS" (there are four) so maybe not an 100% honest seller

Also, there is this:

FIRST TO SEE WILL BUY.

which always tempts me to go there, give the car a two-second glance, then say "nah, m8, tis a dog", turn around and walk away.

Not all of them are haunted.

Someone bought a big house overlooking Gateshead and got a tidy-looking XJ8 with FSH for free.

Then listed it under 'car manuals and literature', which helps explain the lack of bids.

No MOT, but whaddya want for £250?

That Jag looks perfect on that gravel, whereas the de-badged 320d that the new owner prefers ,makes it look like a rather pushy double glazing salesman is visiting

It is our intention to restore it when time allows and the price is for the finished car. However our workshops are very busy at the moment so work is unlikely to start anytime soon.

Brilliant, how about I take my 175,000 and buy one that's already been restored that I can drive just now?

I don't know why but I am going to have a bid on that Jag. I have no use for it and it is 300 miles away but for 250 quid it has to be worth a punt.
