eBay tat volume 3.

Very early XJ6 - I had one of these the 2.8 was silky smooth and I had no trouble with it. These have a very nice old-fashioned Jaguar interior with separate  wood fillets around the windows etc. Says the fuel gauge doesn't work - that is incorrect because the two tanks are always empty anyway - I could drive mine fast and watch the fuel gauge dropping - nice though and deserves a good home - period-correct numberplates too. A proper William Lyons era gin and tonic Jag.

But the steering wheel and the wheelarch trims are shit.

And I see bubbling everywhere they like to rot.

THat cavalier is ace. I can feel the creaky platic and rubberised choke control in the dash close up...  ah, the memories...

Yes it will need a very careful look over - no blind bidding on something like this. It's got the wrong bonnet or grille - it's the more attractive V12 vertical bars. The arch covers may disguise a real mess. I don't mind the wheel so much. One possible real problem are the radius arm mountings at the rear. It is thought the last 'pure' Lyons Jag' with some beautiful design touches. The front 'bucket' seats and dash-layout are classic. I remember the sensation when these came out in the 60's.

That's one car I'd enjoy seeing used for a charity rally.

We considered that, but the lack of MOT makes you think twice.

The Head Gasket went last week and not being a mechanic have decided to let this one go to someone who will restore it back to its original glory.
