He was right about this though

It is in it's original paint and has masses of patina. It would be a shame for it to be fully restored as it is all original and looks superb, but obviously that would be down to the new owner if he wished to carry out a sympathetic restoration to it. Personally I'd leave it as it is but again, it's all down to personal preference.

Then let himself right down again

There is a link to the Tractor with the engine running on Youtube
Please note, I have not tried to start it since and it has not started up for 14 months. There is a set process on how to start it up and to be honest, I can't remember how to!

Never even heard of these before. Cheap too. I would love it!

The door open warning light says it has 4 doors. It only seems to have 2.

So Im out.

Yes it's a de-tuned 165 of the 225 engine in that Megane. They had it in the Laguna as well, plus a mid range tune of 205 for the Laguna GT.

These were very popular as hard working and wearing vehicles in farming circles.

1993 Subaru 284 4WD PICK UP Brat & Brumby PROJECT BARN FIND

I know of one of these that was utterly abused until it wouldnt easily pass another MOT BUT because it still ran it was used off road for another 2 years until it finally died and was dragged to the side of the field it expired in.

Even though they are very rare - because they are typically worked to death - 2 bags should easily get an MoTd runner

Barn find indeed, "found dumped beside the barn where it finally expired" more like

What's classic about that mobility scooter thing?

It's a classic example of the creativity of the half-witted.

To be fair, he's right about the starting process.  I've had a go on one of these and it is quite involved, with opening and closing various taps and switches.  If anyone wants to buy it I can put you in touch with a man who knows about them.

They are lovely bits of no-nonsense engineering, with a modular block.  More power, Herr Bauer?  Just bolt on another cylinder.  If I wanted an old tractor this would be very high on the list.
