"For sale is my ex-partners Ford escort rs turbo. I don't know much about it apart from that he spent a lot of money on it â€¦ I've priced the car reasonably as I wish to get rid of it from my back garden. Folder of receipts and papers here, service history is complete till 93,500 miles. Car is in impeccable condition and has been cared for very well"

Flippin eck.  Unless that's a scam it won't hang around long at £1300.  Last MOT was actually 10 years ago, mind, not the 3 she's claiming.  (On the positive side, it did pass.)

Edit:  Of course I'm naively assuming it's hers to sell, which it probably isn't.

Is this a serious ad, do we think?

It's like those apocryphal stories of £50 E-Types etc from scorned wives.

If I was closer, I'd be very tempted to nip round there though, can see it being messy , but if it's got a logbook and you get a receipt ............

Not sure a receipt is going to help much if it's not her car.  Even if you buy in good faith, you don't get to keep stolen goods.  It might help your case if the V5 is in her name... but do you want the aggro of getting in the middle of a domestic dispute?  In Glasgow? (other stereotypes are available)
