2sav is a madman for binning his Carina for a Swift.

You're a winner for bagging the Carina. It looks lovely.

The Swift honestly did look like the newest old car that money could buy,  but me and you are in agreement.

Fully bamboozled - I thought that Carina IIs were 5x100 but that has four studs... 4x114.3?

Always liked this one, I've already admired it from afar via TooSavy's thread.

You know a car is 'of a certain age' when the manufacturers felt it necessary to SHOUT from the rooftops that it had 16 valves...  How many!? Loving the fact that they actually embossed it on the centre console too just to avoid you potentially forgetting.

Covid Tier 2.5 internation collection mission government guidelines. (Subject to change without notice.)

1) no kissing.

2) no looking at the car before buying it.

3) only buy cars from another country.

4) no more than six shitters should take part.

5) do it in the dark.

The car was too far away and too expensive.

Luckily, the Autoshite globe is literally spattered with fantastic gentlemen (mostly in Scotland) whomst stepped forward gamely to help.

Many thanks to @davehedgehog31 @sdkrc @Lacquer Peel for literally doing all the things.

Cheers fantastic gentlemen.

So the car was spotted on eBay, as I was listing my current car for sale.  Encouragement was applied and I had a bid. Once won, a stood at least six feet from the laptop and COLLECTION TEAM ALPHA SWUNG INTO ACTION.

Mr Hodgeheg and Mr Letters shot off in the dark to swap pictures of the queen for an old car.

Please tell me it's a XUD Peugeot, ideally a 305 obviously, but just not a Vauxhall.

Taking the above guidelines into account, I bought a car.

What even No. 1 ?

As far as I know. There had been no kissing thus far. It was dark. There were only 2 shitters.

All within guidelines.

Arriving at the rendezvous, they were confronted by a selection of prime chod.

Whatever I bought may be in the background here somewhere.
