Just back home safe. 

What an odd car buying experience. The seller was very nice but didn't really seem to know the craic with the the car despite "doing most of the work himself", which quickly changed to "the last owner actually done the work, and there's no reciepts".

Fair enough, the listing never said there was so I looked at it with my eyes, drove it at length, then made a decision on buying it. 

The crack with the clutch was that "ages ago after a 200 mile drive the clutch went to the floor twice but it's never done it again since. And the garage said they'd fixed it."

So literally, fuck knows. Good on him for mentioning it at all. Clutch seems to work fine, we took it out for an hour and he said "don't pay for eeet til yer happy wee eet"

So I punted it round rural Yorkshire and it seemed right enough. 

Chipped him down a bit on a few things and ended up with enough off that it made sense (to me) to just roll the dice and steal the rice.

No headlining, no carpet. The rest of the interior is piled in my kitchen ATM. 

Just the front seats and dash in at the moment (rest out for ahem cleaning)

 

Not this car (for legal reasons) but a similar one, has a -17% charger pulley, big intercooler and a Milktek? Stainless exhaust. That's what I can see with my eyes. Remapped? Not as far as I'm aware.

I'm undecided on future plans at the moment. It's perfectly civilised on the motorway. It's louder than a car with an interior and a quiet exhaust, but nowhere near as loud as I expected.
