Love the 244! Reminds me of my old one.

Yours looks like one of the anniversary editions?

 

Mine was a white 79, it had the same side stripes but the square headlights with big bumpers.

Excellent swapping, even if extra money was involved - but not a lot by the sound of it, for something so great!

 

Since it looks like a 50th Anniversary model, that prompted me to pull out the '50 Years of Volvo' brochure I have, so I could read about all the special bits loaded to this 244. Except there's no mention of it anywhere in the twin pack bumper anniversary brochure combo. Great marketing strategy there, 1970's Volvo!

There was one of those Anniversary 240s for sale not too long ago at strong money and the advert didn't hang around (I'm assuming it sold)
