Nearly fell of my bike when I saw this, shame I was in a hurry and the lights just turned green... 1970, automatic on LPG, in Holland since 1985, current owner since 1997.

*was a Brighton-based band, lead singer is now the drummer in Blood Red Shoes.

Can't be many of them outside the UK. Not many inside come to think of it!Pug Farina looks lovely. I do like the slimmer lights that non British versions of that shape got.

Those P6 estates are soooooooo NEARLY gorgeous, but the roof-line is just WRONG!

Posted

Almost perfect replica, but something's wrong. Can't put my finger on it though...

Econoline?

Definetley looks like an Econoline, early round lights model. THey were always in the background of 70's American films and shows.I know whats wrong with the Herbie Replica - its the wrong colour. Thats it, isnt it?

Cheers! And no, that's not it, I've put my finger (whole hand actually) on it and it's the sunroof - should be canvas, not plastic/glass!

That red things got a well funny face, I just LOL'd at it! Looks a bit like that 'Bullit' metro which some geordie moron is touting as the answer to the worlds traffic problems.

Posted

Shades of the SD1 in the frontal styling, I hope it's got a 3.5 litre V8 bolted in somewhere.

Posted

It's got a Ferrari engine actually - why else would it have those stickers? (which you probably didn't see because my phone camera went 'eeeww, WTF')

Posted

That red thing made me larf too - was it an actual car squashed in a lift door or home made? In addition to the optimistic badging, the door hinges look like they are by meccano and the door handles? Off a Marina maybe?

1977 230C, original Dutch car:

I quite like that, I'd give it a good home. The rear light are definiately off a Peugeot 205.

That Rover's nice, it's parked at a Rover specialist place, full of 75s.
