chompy_snake
As the title really.....I want to have a play with an older HDi 90 shitron. They are slow but have mechanical wastegate turd blowers and seem to be reliable at low level tunes. I remember the glf rank taxi and remember the on the fly adjustments well at crail! What software is used and can a standard laptop be used to interface? Or are PSA ECU a bit too sensitive? I know they can be played with as dad's Picasso auto was running 167/8hrspwrs on the rollers

Lacquer Peel
It depends on the ECU, speak to Supernaut about it, he bought a map online and uploaded it to his Xantia's Bosch ECU.
Dave_Q
Have a look under the bonnet and try to figure out if it's Bosch or Siemens. If it's Bosch you can flash it with MPPS but editing the maps on the commonrail ECUs is a much steeper learning curve than VE or PD stuff. You will be best off buying a file from HDI tuning or whereever and flashing that. If you have Siemens though, you're shit out of luck, when I looked when I had a Blingo they were bench flash only, don't know if there's been any developments since then. Depending where the ECU is it might be easiest to look at the injectors, I think mine said Siemens on them.

Tepper
Figure out whether your ECU is Bosch or Siemens then have a look at HDI Tuning's website. When I did the Siemens ECU on a 307 that had to be done on the bench - there's a guide on their site. I used a tool called a BDM100 which I still have if you'd like to borrow it. twosmoke300
Never understand how you can get much more go from these without making loads more smoke . They have no boost control solenoid so boost will stay the same unless you fit a manual boost control valve .
